In With the New, Out With the Old

And as the hours, minutes, and seconds tick for the clock to strike midnight here on the East coast, let us not forget what will soon be known as "the year that was" and remember the good times that we had along with those character building moments.

I personally had a great year with great working experience in what some people like to call the "real world".  I was blessed with an internship earlier this year for a government contractor which helped me land my current Part-Time job doing IT support for a small office.  I have been very challenged this year, not only physically, but mentally too.  With many changes that happen we have to learn to cope and take those as learning experiences.

I also had an epiphany during my internship and my dream was supposed to be realized this past August.  But, here I am, without my "business venture".  But alas, I am here with a new project!  A project to bring news about what I think someone else besides the geek community might like to hear!  Don't get me wrong, my "business venture" is still in full gear!  I just need to learn how to work the SQL language better to get started.  2011 was a stepping stone for 2012!  And, hopefully the year I graduate with my Bachelor's in the fall semester.

Don't just set "New Year Resolutions" because we all know that you won't fall through with that.  I, like to set goals and standards throughout the year, not just on one night of excitement because we get to plus one the previous year.  Set goals but not only tonight, but throughout the year!

Happy New Year every one (as I read on Facebook, "it isn't New Years because we are not welcoming multiple years", or something along those lines).  Enjoy and hopefully my blog will be carrying on with you to the new year!!

You know the drill... comment about, well, whatever!

Second Villain In The Avengers?

Well, as foreshadowed in Thor and seen in The Avengers' trailer, Loki is the villain for the upcoming Marvel movie.  What was not known is if that was the only villain in the movie.  Apparently, there will be more than one villain in the movie!

Warning: Movie SPOILERS are beyond this point.

So, as I finished watching Captain America this year I made a "prediction" (which I like to do about every movie).  As the good ol' Captain is in his last minutes of life he takes the Red Skull out of his misery and pushes him into the transport beam or whatever that was.  Well, not necessarily out of his misery, because as I predicted he was sent off... somewhere.  But, I also said he would be back in The Avengers film either as supporting cast or as a build up to the second movie.  And sure enough...

Movieweb announced that toymaker NECA has sent product descriptions from the HeroClix line of the 2012 (ugh... still freaks me out) The Avengers film.  The product description goes as follows...

"Charging straight out of theaters and onto your tabletop, Marvel's the Avengers Movie HeroClix set features heroes like Captain America and Thor as they battle the villainy of the Red Skull and Loki!  Each Counter-Top display includes standard one-figure boosters as well as new three-figure 'Team Packs'!  Team Packs are designed with strong thematic undertones - play a Hydra force or defend freedom with a S.H.I.E.L.D. team pack!"

Well there you have it!  But, this could also just be a new bundled pack featuring the Captain America movie.  And as we all know, these studios try to milk the most out of these movies... just ask Tobey Maguire and his new Spiderman fil... Oh right never mind!

So we won't officially know until something more concrete comes out like a new trailer or until we see the movie!

Nokia Bringing Sexy Back?

"Bringing sexy back" has been so overused that well, I decided to use it once more!  So, besides the corny title, AT&T seems to be blessed by Nokia this following year.  They are getting what is rumored to be the sexy and lucrative Nokia Lumia 900 or the Nokia Ace (which is the same but names get thrown left and right).  I don't know about you but hardware is just such a turn on.  Knowing that processors are whizzing and whirling inside this bad boy can make anyone geek.

So this bad boy will be featuring a-what-now-seems small 4.3 inch screen.  Besides that we don't have much info on the phone.  This photo was leaked as a holiday card within AT&T obviously.  This could also be a fan rendition but it does look pretty legit!  So go ahead, and bask in the sexiness of this Nokia Windows Phone which will be coming State side soon!

Let The Rumors Begin!

DON'T BUY AN IPAD 2!!!  It will become obsolete in a matter of months!

As the title says... let the rumors begin!  The iPad 3 will move plenty of units that's for sure.  Sure, you will only buy it because it has a bitten apple on the back of it, but heck, I would too if I liked apples.  Like all the file under rumor reports take this lightly with your... err... umm... Apple juice?

So word on the street internet is that we have an iPad 3 dubbed for a January 2012 (ugh... still gets me every time!) release.  Now lets not get too carried away, we don't want another iPhone 5 dilemma now do we?  The iPad 2 was nothing but a spec bump and a camera added to the front.  Apple has a tendency to make every other release the "worth getting" release.  So, it is safe to say that the iPad 3 is the tablet for you!

So, the rumors are slating this for a January unveiling (which we saw with the iPad 1 and released three months later).  The rumor mill is also saying that the battery will be twice as big for those of you who aren't satisfied with the 10 hours of use.

There are also rumors of a 7 inch slate in the works.  This one seems far off but who knows!  And even if it doesn't come out in January, you should wait 2-3 months for the iPad 3 and not buy the current iteration because of your compulsive shopping!

Don't forget to follow my blog by clicking "follow this site".  Comment about how excited you are about the iPad 3 and how great it will/won't be!

What Does Space, Death, and Android Equal?

So what happens when you involve Android, Space, and a hint of Death?  Any takers?? No... No?  Well you get one of EA's best hits... Dead Space!  Now Dead Space has been on the Apple APP STORE for a while now.  But now, it is time for my Android brethren to unite in happiness with some spokes at night.  The game takes place three years after the first game but before the second game.

Sure... I am against gaming on smart phones, but this game is a great buy!  Touch screens are horrible to play action games but if you think you can't make it home from that long commute to and from work/school this will fill that void!  The graphics are what you would expect on a mobile device.  Nothing comparable to what we see on dedicated devices but it gets the job done!

So, if you are feeling a little needy, download Dead Space ==> HERE <== from the Android Market.  If this isn't your cup of tea, well, keep on moving!

Why Your Next Smart Phone Should Be A Windows Phone 7: Part I

Editor's Note: Red means link...

I have always heard "iPhone is the best phone!"  I have also heard "Android does so much more and is the better one!"  Well, what if Android and iOS had a baby??  What would that baby look like?  Ladies and Gentlemen... settle down settle down!  I present to you, the one, the only... WINDOWS PHONE 7!!!  Yes, Windows Phone 7 is that baby!  Microsoft has taken the best from both worlds and has made what is arguably the most gorgeous mobile operating system out there!  Microsoft has taken that boring and bland iPhone look that has remained stale since 2007.  Microsoft has taken that crazy, wild wild west survive if you can ecosystem Android has going for it and combined it into one OS.

We all know how limited the iPhone is, with Apple barely allowing you to add your own wallpaper to the phone let alone customize it to your liking.  Microsoft has taken some of that theory... but not all of it.  Microsoft has created a closed ecosystem but has taken the DICTATORSHIP part out of the picture.  Microsoft has set standards which must be followed by the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer Ex. HTC, Samsung, LG, etc) to exact specifications.  This allows for what we like to call fragmentation to be erased from the picture.

As far as Android goes, we all know how crazy it can get on that front!  You have a multitude of devices as vast as the OCEAN to choose from.  You do not know which phone is the best and sometimes end up making the wrong decision.  You may end up getting a low end phone which is not up to "par" with the OS (don't forget to read my post on which ANDROID phone to buy).  Android is a very powerful OS, but if the hardware is not optimized correctly you will have a hard time!  We all know how customizable Android is, and Microsoft has taken a page out of their book.  Microsoft has done well by adding "live tiles", which in essence are truly widgets.  The great thing about the live tiles is that they are optimized to run fluidly with your phone and not taking damage to battery life.  It is awesome to see your phone come to life right in front of you!
Windows 8 Beta

Metro UI
Microsoft has taken a full dive plunge with the Metro User Interface.  Ready or not, it is the future of Microsoft and is already implemented on Windows 8 (still in Beta) and can be seen on the Xbox 360 dashboard.  Metro is a beautiful, stunning, and simplistic interface in which anyone could fall in love with.  The interface is so easy to use and manage.  Everything is just popping right out at you.

It is easy to see things at a glance, like the weather.  It is nice to see a change in what we are expected to see.  The Xbox 360 dashboard is so elegant and is light-year's ahead of its Sony counterpart.  Metro UI is so simplistic, but yet so much could be done with it!  It is so nice and fresh to have something like this.  I am personally tired of the old stale grids that have been showing up on phones.  This will definitely  change the game and how comfy we have become with interfaces.  It is time to leave the old and jump into the new!

Live Tiles Constantly Updating

Elegance
If you didn't know... Elegance is Metro's middle name.  It goes... Metro "Elegance" UI.  Metro flourishes where the iPhone doesn't, and where Android gets clunky.  Microsoft did with "widgets" what Google wanted to accomplish but wasn't able to.  This easy to look at interface is very elegant and will sway the hardest iFans over in no time!  The beauty of this interface just cannot be explained!  It has to be witnessed in person.  Even though it pulls so much data the Operating System has been carefully optimized to not kill battery!  You get a state of the art looking phone with the battery life to tag along.

Live Tiles Either Flip
Or Post Important Information

The great thing about the elegance is that it carries over to the apps.  If you compare the Android/iPhone app to the Windows Phone 7 app you will be blown away!  You will ask, "Why doesn't our apps look like that?"  Metro UI just adds so much that the iPhone will never show (unless Tim Cook decides to move away from the bland interface).  It adds to what Android has been doing but removes all the clunk and adds elegance to it.  Of course, there are always some downfalls to everything new... And that will be covered on the next post.

Left to Right: iPod Touch, HTC Arrive WP7, Evo 3D

Kindle Fire vs. iPad

Say wuh?!??
I have been hearing and asked this question a lot recently with the release of the Kindle Fire.  How do you think the Kindle Fire compares to the iPad?  Or, The Kindle Fire vs. the iPad, What can you tell me?  I am here to stomp this completely!  The Kindle Fire is not here... I repeat is not here to take on the iPad.  *Say wuh?!??*  Yes, you read that correctly.  Many people have been comparing both of these just because they are both slabs.  I will explain why they are not comparable!!

First, get the idea of Kindle Fire vs. iPad out of your mind!  Once you do that we can continue...  So, the Kindle Fire as we all know has been marketed as an iPad competitor, which is true.  With that being said it is not here to replace tablets.  The Kindle Fire is a glorified e-reader.  And very glorified at that!  The Kindle Fire is an e-reader with tablet-like features.  It is running on its own custom version of Android.  You see, there are no reminders of Android on this thing because it is a custom modification that Amazon has done.  It is so custom that you cannot download any Android apps unless you ROOT the device.  Of course, you do get a wide selection of apps from Amazon's own Amazon App Store.  You can also download apps off of Getjar dot com.  But, besides all of the glorification, no it is not a tablet.

Tablets like the iPad 2 and Android tablets allow so many different functions in which the Kindle Fire cannot.  The apps and functionality they have are amazing.  If the Kindle Fire is limited by Amazon it will never be a viable tablet, but nevertheless a competitor.

The Kindle Fire is a great supplement for tablets, but shouldn't be treated as one.  If you do a lot of rooting and hacking, this wannabe tablet would be a great option for you if you don't plan on spending too much money.  Just don't go comparing it to your friends' Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Hopefully this can settle down the hubbub that has been occurring on the interwebs and conversations alike.

What I Am Geeking About: GN

Sooo... (as I start most of my posts) two night's ago after work I was feeling under the weather.  And no, not because of a cold, flu, stomach pains, head aches (I actually rarely get sick), but because I felt like a junkie!  You see, I have a horrible obsession (which I plan to get help for... but not now) with phones! I cannot keep a phone for too long!  It... just... gets... boring!  Ever since I got my first phone (which was a brand-spankin' new flip phone... WITH A CAMERA in '04) I upgraded yearly.  This was before I became as geeky as I am now.  This past year has been especially bad with three different phones in about a span of one year and a month.  Anyways... totally off subject!  ...So, I caught a Verizon store on the way home and hopped the curb and drove into the all glass store (No I am kidding I parked like any other normal person) just to catch a glimpse of the all beautiful Galaxy Nexus!

I walked in and and asked to view a Galaxy Nexus.  They didn't even have a dang phone on display!  I was the first one to try out the display model as they had to pop the battery in and boot it in my presence *ahhhhhh (in an angelic voice)*.  The Galaxy Nexus is absolutely gorgeous!!  I compared it to my Galaxy S II, and ironically two Verizon reps were impressed with my phone!!  They told me how everyone comes in and asks for that phone... but they don't carry it!  Anyways, they did their normal sales rep thing while I upstaged them with more knowledge than they think they know.  I held the phone and while it has a very unusual narrow length to it I appreciated it!  The 4.65 inch screen is no easy feat to have on a phone as wide as a 4.3 inched screened phone.

The phone felt good in my hand but again, the narrowness also drew an awkward feel.  Seeing this phone did get me the high I was looking for.   It also made me appreciate my Galaxy S II.  The camera is great especially the "no shutter-lag".  Take multiple pictures without waiting is amazing!  The screen was also very crisp and sharp!  I loved how it looked and how quick everything was.  As so it should be since it boasts a lucrative 720p resolution.  With that being said, all this resolution stuff is so much hype.  It does look great but so does my Galaxy S II with a resolution no where nearly as sharp.  The same goes for the Retina display which uses an IPS screen.  It does look really good but nothing that is necessarily needed unless you are into that stuff.  Well, hopefully Sprint does get the Galaxy Nexus so I can refill the high I am so desperately looking for!

You guys know the drill!  Comment below in the comments section!  Don't forget to follow this blog by clicking "follow this site".  Also, don't forget you can like this post with the Facebook like button, Google+ plus1 button, or Tweet it to your friends!

Hopefully one of you gets this phone and brags about how great it is in the comments section!  Thanks for reading!

New Logo - Shout Out to John P. Obando

The Dark Knight Rises Trailer

Yoooooooo!!!!! Did you see that?!?!?!?!?!?! As one of the Geek traits that I have acquired over the years has been a fondness of movies! I love movies with a passion!  I am like a fly and they are the lamp post.  Of course, I shouldn't have to mention how great super heroes are either!  Sure, Batman hasn't been my top notch super hero (that award goes to Spiderman... I guess its that geeky side he has to him).  But, Christopher Nolan has done an amazing job with the Batman movies (and that goes without saying)!  I wasn't too fond of Batman Begins but still enjoyed it!  The Dark Knight Rises is no exception!  He does justice to Bruce Wayne!  Now, WATCH THE DANG CLIP AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember to follow me on the ==> by clicking "follow this site".  Also, leave comments below sounding off on what you think on the upcoming Threequel and FINAL film in the series!!

Why the Green Bay Packers Haven't Proved Themselves

The title may be a little misleading, but it's not!  Don't get me wrong.  Green Bay is an excellent team with an excellent quarterback.  Aaron Rodgers looks like he has been playing for years.  He looks like Tom Brady, or dare I say... a young Peyton Manning!  The Packers definitely deserved their Super Bowl run and win!  They proved they are one of the elite teams in the NFL and can bring the pain in when needed!  Their team is so well structured that they don't need any big names!  Sure, they have some big names, but they don't need all the big name players like the Eagles got this year.

But see, where my complaints come in is... What elite teams have the Packers played?  In the opening game of the season the Packers came in hot, but so did the Saints.  The Packers only won that game by 8 points!  The week after they had the Panthers, which aren't that great and have a lot of pizzazz with Cam Newton.  But the Packers only won that game by a touchdown!  Of course, they have the usual division games, and the Bears aren't doing so hot.  But, can you really count division rivals?  You know their schemes and play style pretty well.  They destroyed the Broncos but they didn't have the miracle of Tim Tebow yet.  And the Broncos, how good are they really?  Tebow shows up in the fourth quarter but the Defense does all the hard work!  Anyways, out of that rant.  So, besides the Saints another viable team was the Falcons, and they did beat them by 11 points.  But again, really, how good are the Falcons to begin with?  Are they an elite team?

The Packers beat the Chargers, but by a touchdown.  The Chargers haven't been doing so hot and a lot of their players have been injured.  Sure, their performance last night against the Ravens was amazing, but they weren't playing that hot earlier this season.  Another "elite" team could be the Giants, but the Packers only beat them by a field goal and the Giants weren't/aren't doing so great!  Oakland was doing well but with all the injuries they have inquired I don't see them doing much anymore.  The Packers lost to the Chiefs! The Chiefs!  Really, how good are the Packers?

I want to see the Packers play real elite teams!  Not these struggling teams that are barely breaking even record wise.  I want them to play the Ravens, sure they are bipolar but are still an elite team!  I want them to play the Steelers, Patriots, and definitely the 49ers!

Honestly, the only Elite team they have played are the Saints.  You can argue that the Giants and Falcons are elite teams, but they haven't proved it!  I don't know, I just think the Packers haven't proved themselves yet!  Aaron Rodgers is a beast, but I want to see him do work against a great defense!

AT&T Cancels T-Mobile Buyout

So, if you were not aware AT&T was in the midst of buying T-Mobile... Say wuh?!!?  Yes, for the past year or so AT&T has been trying to acquire T-Mobile but it has not gone their way.  Late this evening AT&T announced that they would give up on the deal!

There are many reasons and obstacles which have caused the OG iPhone carrier to do this.  First, is the bitter Sprint, which was actually in talks with the German owned carrier T-Mobile.  If Sprint was able to make a deal they would have been in the same arena with Verizon and AT&T, which both have about 100 million customers, give or take.  But, out of no where AT&T swooped T-Mobile from its feet and were ready for a wedding date.  Of course, this infuriated Sprint, making it one of the biggest advocates against the merger.  This, along with the DOJ, which were opposed to the merger made a great stand against this enormous deal, which many were calling a duopoly.

It is good that the deal is off because the market won't become so crowded and overpriced.  We can already see what the big players are doing with data caps.  First it was AT&T who started capping data at 2GB, which can easily be surpassed with Netflix and YouTube streaming.  But, if you are a light data user, this doesn't hurt.  Verizon followed suit about ten months later.  Everyone fears that Sprint will do the same, but things like this merger would have made the situation worse.  Two major companies would have had control of prices and that would have not been good on us, the consumer.

So, Sprint is now a happy camper, T-Mobile is $4 billion richer (because of the deal they had if the merger didn't go through), and AT&T is now a little bit less wealthier.  I am glad it fell through because this would have shaken the market up too much!

What do you think?  Should have AT&T been able to buy T-Mobile or was their decision to drop out a good one?  Sound off in the comments  below!  Don't forget to follow me on the right ===> by clicking "Follow this Site".  You can also like this on Facebook, Google+, or Tweet to your friends!

Game of the Week

For those of you who know me, might also know that I don't consider smart phone gaming as hand held gaming.  This, for the reason that it is just completely horrible!  The day a touch screen can replace my analog stick will be the day CORTANA comes with an important message for Master Chief (In the real world).  But, today I have given in... But to a classic.  A throwback!  A throwback that made me think I was cool.  A throwback that if you didn't play... Well you better have said you played!  This throwback is... *Drum roll please*  ...BEFORE I release the name I just want to say I DON'T support smart phone gaming!  Horrible controls, touch screen is a joke, and I need my analog stick!!

So, where were we?  Ahh, right right... *Drum roll please*  Grand Theft Auto III.  Yes, GTA III has graced iOS and Android.  The 2001 smash hit could be obtained by five measly bucks!  The full length version, on your phone!  I have not bought it yet but probably will do it tomorrow afternoon.  Sure, I can buy it while I type this, or while I open the Market to update Hanging with Friends... But, why would I?  This way I get to have something to look for... besides studying of course.  For us lucky Android tablet users (if there are any... besides me) we can use a controller to control the game on our tablet.  I wouldn't see the point though you might as well buy it through the PSN store or XLA.

It is interesting to see this game back to life (I was more of a Vice City kinda guy).  It has been released because of their ten year anniversary!  It is safe to say that you can recreate all of your misfits once again, ten years later... In this reboot of GTA III.  Remember though, don't let your children mistake this ===> for Angry Birds seasons.  If you would like to download the game on the Android Market, click ===> HERE <=== either on your phone or on the browser.  If you would like it for your iOS device, well, GO LOOK FOR IT YOURSELF!!  No, No, I keed I keed.  If you are buying it on your iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) click ===> HERE <=== and enjoy!  So I guess I'll let you know how I like it, after tomorrow afternoon, when... I... purchase it.  Or maybe not!  Maybe I'll let someone else judge.  Who cares right?

Since I am extra Xtra cool I will add one more screen shot.  Only for your viewing pleasures of course!  As always, like my post on Facebook, Google+, or Tweet about it to your friends.  I am sure they would love to relive their five year old memories while I remember Super Mario Bros.

Also leave a comment, whether it be a hate comment, a love comment, a dumb comment, or just a hey what's up comment.  I am all ears!  Until next time!  Have fun doing what you do!

What I Am Geeking About

Sure sure, I geek out about a lot of things.  It is in my nature, I just cannot help it!  New technology is always exciting and especially discovering how it works.  The great thing about technology is that we can all appreciate what comes out of these tech giants.

I have always enjoyed super heroes, and Batman is no exception!  Now, Batman definitely isn't my favorite super hero but I still appreciate what the guy does for Gotham!  Heck, I even try to save Gotham myself by playing Arkham City!!  But see, even the caped crusader needs a cell phone!  And of course you know he will be rocking a Windows Phone 7 phone!!

Now, Nokia plans to only release 40 of their special edition Lumia 800 phone's rocking the Dark Knight's emblem.  This phone looks amazing to begin with, but with the "bat" on the back it looks even more amazing!

When super heroes and technology come together it just makes everything seem that much cooler.  Sure, some of the "cool" kids wouldn't be caught dead with one of these bad boys.  But, if I had the extra funds to buy one, would I?  You bet ya' I would... in a heartbeat at that!  This also builds up the anticipation for The Dark Knight Rises poised to be released this coming July.  Hopefully other companies can do similar promotions like this!  I also love the fact that it is on a Windows Phone 7 phone!  I mean, did you really expect Batman to use an iPhone?

And well, that is what I am geeking about on Wednesday, December 14, 2011.

Christmas Gifts: Cell Phones

HTC Titan
UPDATE: Verizon has officially given the Galaxy Nexus a release date for Thursday, December 15, 2011.

Editor's Note: This is a very long post so if you are not interested in reading it all don't leave, just scroll down until you find your carrier.

One of the biggest markets that is growing in the tech industry is smart phones!  There are so many smart phones to choose from though.  Which one is right for you and which one is right for that special person you plan to buy a phone for.  We will go through the four major carriers and determine which phone is best for you!

AT&T
AT&T has come a long way from only offering the iPhone as a viable choice while offering crappy phones to its line up.  Your best option would have been the iPhone, but seeing as it is 2011 and there are new options, we will go with something fresh.  The phone to get on AT&T is the HTC Titan (pictured above).  The Titan is a hot selling commodity on AT&T and has been back ordered for a while now!  This BEHEMOTH has a 4.7 inch Super LCD screen and has a 1.5ghz processor chugging at its core.  Packed with 16gb of memory and Microsoft's Sky Drive (cloud storage) you will love this phone which runs on Windows Phone 7.5 aka Mango.  If 4.7 inches is too big then you can go after the hot Samsung Focus S.  This phone is a reincarnation of the Galaxy S II series and sports a 1.4ghz processor and a beautiful 4.3 inch Super Amoled Plus screen (arguably the best screen out there).

If LTE is what you are looking for I would advise the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket.  This phone has a 4.5 inch screen and is one of two of AT&T's entrance phone's into the LTE game.

Sprint
SGSII Epic 4G Touch
Sprint has had a lot of hype because of the release of the iPhone 4s and Sprint finally claiming an iPhone all for itself.  The real winner though is the Samsung Galaxy S II on Sprint.  This phone will most likely win the best smart phone of the year!  It has a 4.5 inch screen with a gorgeous Super Amoled Plus display.  It has a 1.2ghz Exynos processor (home bred by Samsung).  Tagged along is Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread.

If you like to travel I would advise getting the Motorola Photon 4G which is a "world" phone meaning it has a sim card.  The Photon is another dual core phone with a 4.3 inch qHD display.  If these phones are too big you could always opt out for the iPhone 4s or the HTC Arrive which runs on Windows Phone 7.5.

Also, don't forget the famous Evo lines including the HTC Evo 3D.  This phone is great for all your glasses free 3D with a beautiful qHD screen.  Sense 3.0 is amazing and can only be experienced and enjoyed in person.  If you want a "world" Evo phone you could always get the HTC Evo Design, which has a 4 inch screen and comes with a sim card for all of your traveling needs!  The Evo brand is now a household name and this was brought on by the AMAZING HTC Evo 4G hit in 2010, one of the best, if not, the best phone of 2010!

T-Mobile
HTC Sensation 4G
Now, T-Mobile is lacking an iPhone, but they do have the best Android line-up.  Right now the hottest phone's seem to be coming from Samsung, and rightfully so.  They have really stepped their game up this year.  If it were last year, I don't think I would recommend this many Samsung phone's.  Of course, the Galaxy S II is the hot commodity here.  This 4.5 inch monster runs on a 1.5ghz Qualcomm processor.  Sure, that doesn't mean much to the average user, just know that it is good when you have spec wars (or do I only do that?).  You cannot go wrong with the GSII.

A phone that is just as hot but has about three more shelf life months on it is the HTC Sensation 4G.  This phone has a 4.3 inch Super LCD screen and is one of the best phone's of 2011.  This 1.2ghz dual core processed phone knows what it came to do!  If you are an HTC faithful then this phone is for you!  For the first time HTC did well with how the battery manages and you won't need to fret about your wall charger throughout the day.

HTC Radar 4G
There is also a runt to the litter.  The HTC Radar 4G is a small 3.8 Super LCD screened phone running on Windows 7.5.  Don't be fooled by its 1ghz processor, this little guy is snappy.  The front facing camera is ideal for chatting with all of your friends and family.  Windows Phone 7 will be one of the newest and freshest experiences you will experience on a mobile OS.

Verizon
Ahh, Verizon.  The once looked upon carrier for having the best phones out on the market.  Gone are the days of dumb... excuse me, feature phones.  We are in an age where amazingly parents buy their eight year old kids phones, and not just dumb... er... umm... feature phones, but smart phones!  For the past two years Verizon has had one of the worst line-ups I can remember.  Their phone line-ups were almost as bad as AT&T's.  Verizon has finally stepped their game up and has a hot selection this Christmas (a selection that I am actually jealous of for once while Sprint has been spoiling me these two past years).  The best phone that Verizon has to offer is the Galaxy Nexus!  This is the newest pure Google phone... from Google.  It is the first phone running on Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich.
Ice Cream Sandwich

Geeks all over the blogosphere have been drooling for this phone for well over two months while Verizon keeps pushing the release date.  Of course, one of the newest features is face unlock.  Sure it isn't that secure, and easily hacked by just showing a still photo of yourself, but still, it makes you feel like if you are in some Star Trek movie (oddly I have never cared for Star Trek).  This phone is the "bees knees".  The 4.65 inch Nexus packs as much pixels as a 720p inched HD TV!  Yes, a 720p inched HD TV.  This hot phone is the phone to get, while not released yet, the rumor date is DECEMBER 15 but only time will tell.  The date has been officially announced and it is slated to be released tomorrow, Thursday, December 15, 2011.

Galaxy Nexus
The next hot phone to choose from would be the Droid Razr.  This is the "thinnest" phone out on the market (it is in quotes because the camera hump makes it pretty fat).  This 4.3 inch Super Amoled screen is perfect if you are in the market for a Motorola phone and are taken off by the bigger screened phones.

Another hot phone on Verizon is the HTC Rezound.  HTC brought its marriage of Beats By Dre to the U S of A.  The 1.5ghz dual core processor is perfect for anyone out on the market for a new phone.  This phone also has a gorgeous 720p Super LCD screen resolution.  This phone is ideal for those media pushers.

Also, if you are not into any of the phones I mentioned, don't forget that the Apple iPhone 4s is currently sold on AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon!

iPhone 4s
Well, that about does it I'd say.  This has been a long... very long post, but will benefit you greatly!! Do not forget to follow this blog on the right ----> where it says FOLLOW THIS SITE!

If you have any questions on these phones or any other phone out on the market PLEASE let it be known in the comments section!  Don't forget to like this post on Facebook, Google+, or Tweet it to your friends!!  The options are right below where it says "posted by".  Good luck and Merry Christmas... er... umm... Happy Holidays??
