Christmas Gifts: HDTV's

Ever since I got my job over the summer I have had my eyes set on a couple of electronics.  I have gradually been crossing out my list.  My next big money hungry addiction was the almighty  H D T V !  But as with all devices you have sooo many options it can drive you insane!  So I did what any other consumer would do and researched as much as possible.  I want to save you time and share what I found out!

720p vs. 1080p
Now, this one would have been an easy choice about two years ago because many devices (DVD's, Video Games, TV shows) were not optimized  for the AWESOME 1080p experience!  Even by today's standards many Xbox 360 and PS3 games are still made to only run on 720p.  With that being said... the 360 is only made to run 720p anyways!  So what 720p and 1080p essentially bogs down to is the pixels it has.  Depending on what size TV you have the picture will look grainy and "pixelated".  Now we cannot fully understand pixels until we find out what you will be viewing and what s I Z E TV you are looking for.

Size
Size is probably the most important factor in buying a TV.  Of course we all want that 65 incher but probably cannot afford it!  But for all my rich friends and avid readers make sure it is 1080p.  A good cut-off for 720p is a 42 inch TV, and even that could be pushing it unless you buy from a reputable brand in which case the display may be so good you won't notice!  Now, if you buy a 32 inch TV DO NOT get a 1080p display because you are wasting your money! You will not be able to tell the difference because these screens are considered "too small".  Remember, 42 (possibly 43) and below should be 720p, and higher MUST be 1080p.  If you have a screen larger than 42 inches and with 720p you will be able to see the pixels in whatever you are watching like the image I have posted.  Remember though, you can have the material, but do you have the tools?

What To Watch 1080p With
So you bought this awesome 1080p 55 inch TV!  But, do you have the right tools for viewing all that awesomeness? One thing to remember is that the Xbox 360 doesn't run 1080p but it can technically produce 1080p images.  Now, if you have a Playstation 3 you are in luck, especially with that handy Blu-Ray player it comes with.  Regular DVD's cannot display the images in high resolution 1080p so your best bet to enjoy all that awesomeness is to get hip with Blu-Ray.

Plasma vs. LCD
Now this all bogs down to preference.  Many people will say that plasma is better and others will claim how LCD is hands down the best!  Plasma does have deeper blacks making the image look astounding.  LCD though has a "brighter" look to it.  This all comes down to preference and what fits best!  In a well lit room LCD will definitely be your best choice!  Again, it all bogs down to what you like!  If you want to learn more just follow ----> THIS LINK <---- for more details on what you may like!
