Did Apple Want Mac OS X on the iPad?


Apple is known for its secretiveness, and secretive it is.  Apple had a project running in 2010 which has been kept under wraps until a few months back.  Apple’s Platform Technologies Group was/is working on a project that would essentially port the Mac OS X Darwin kernel to the ARMv5 chip.  Why is this significant?  Well, that very same chipset architecture currently powers iOS devices like the iPhone and iPad.
