Mass Effect 3 Demo Impressions



Now that the Mass Effect 3 demo has hit XBL, PSN, and PC, you’ll finally have a chance to try out the new modes integrated into the series. The demo brings two modes, multiplayer and single player. This is only a tease of the game and how it is going to feel. We will be touching on the multiplayer a little bit here. From what I played, it is a fun but short-lived experience which doesn’t seem very rewarding, unlike other multiplayer games today. The experience was very short so not much to go off of.
Upon starting the single player portion you have access to 3 options of how you want the game to feel. You can choose action, which makes Shepherd nearly invincible, and your dialog options become cutscenes. You can choose to play in RPG mode, which allows you to customize combat, your character, and make plenty moral choices. And finally, you can play in story mode, which makes combat easy and allows you to fully customize the character. I played all three modes and found story mode to be the most enticing due to the depth of the game’s story.
