Winter; the time where people huddle up in a blanket at home and watch movies with loved ones after getting off work. Well, that may be true to some, but for others it is a chance to finally sit down and play through the games that become neglected due to unseasonably warm weather and school. Winter is the time where most people are indoors leading to the majority getting sick at some point and blaming it on the weather. Others have a different kind of bug, though. For those people a gaming pad or even a motion controller are their vices of choice in the winter months.
Here, we will be looking into the future of gaming. Nintendo graciously (and maybe unfortunately) revealed its console for the next generation of gaming during E3 2011. The name is even more controversial than its predecessor by adding another homophonic syllable to their already weird choice of “Wii”, thus making the Wii U. Along with the eccentric name choice, Nintendo did not actually show off the console during the trailer. Instead, the console’s controller was prominently displayed as a tablet-like device with a 6.5 inch screen that augmented the stylish and great looking Zelda game as the tech demo.
